Interesting bits and pieces

It’s been a while.

That said, there’s been a lot of developments in the past few months for the micro four-thirds system, what with Photokina come and gone. Most of the new stuff comes from the Panasonic camp with a couple bodies and a whole bunch of lenses launched including a 3D lens of all things. That might provide some novelty factor. I did find myself staring at some stereoscopic 3D images for hours at a time when I first discovered it.

Anyway, I’m planning to build up my arsenal of pancake lenses so the newly-announced 14mm f/2.5 piques my interest. Having already owned the Oly 17mm f/2.8 and with the Pana 20mm f/1.7 somewhere in my roadmap, I’d have a nice range of focal lengths from 28mm to 40mm in 35mm equivalents. I just need to get my lucky stars aligned and come across a sweet deal on eBay one of these days.
